My photo
Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

Japanese Infantry

Good day everyone!

Almost two weeks past since my last post, but there is a good excuse. I managed to lose the USB cable for my camera!Luckily, I discovered it last night!

This is 4 Japanese Infantrymen (Waterloo 1815 - Manufacturer), which I painted on Monday.

I was inspired by Alex, a guy who has another Blog(http://wargamestenerife.blogspot.com/),in Spain who painted some Japanese for a game! Truly insparational mate! Thank you!

The painting steps are the following:

1. Black Primer
2. Paint the whole uniform with VJ Khaki
3. Paint the straps and belts and boots, with a brown (VJ Leather Brown)
4. Paint the sacks with a faded green (VJ Canvas)
5. Paint the flesh parts with GW Tallarn Flesh
6. Paint the guns with VJ German Grey and highlight afterwards with VJ Gunmetal
7. Use the Army Painter's Dark Tone dip on the figures (Apply a ''rich'' coat with your brush)
8. Let it dry
9. Drybrush and highlight with lighter tones of the original used colours on the figs
10.Paint the bases
11.And yes my friends. . . .You are done!!!

So there they are. Hope you like 'em!

  1. Nice Japanese, with a very good finish. Have you got oponents picked out yet?

  2. Not yet my friend!
I don't know which figures to use and which colors to paint them. I am thinking of buying a book from Osprey regarding the USMC during the war in the Pacific, to check their ''Green'' uniform tone!

Thank you for your good words!

  7. @ Geordie: I have a friend who runs a shop here in Athens, and tends to spoil us with little goods like these kits! They are a bit expensive, but as you know - my kingdom for my hobby!!!
