My photo
Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

Α Viking Horde...unleashed!

Hi folks,

August...what a terrific word to use in order to cover up your laziness....
The thing is that not even the wind is working properly, resulting in a major nervous breakdown, everytime I try to use paints and brushes to paint...they (the paints) dry up so damn quickly.

However, night is my ally, and music (Vivaldi, cheesy enough inn'it?) is my guide.

Whilst waiting for season 3 of the notorious series ''Vikings'', I give you my first painted lot of them for your convenience. :-)
Zvezda's Vikings is the name of the set, and I'm pretty sure you are all aware of it. A most terrific set!
The colours I used, were described as a ''medley'' and were consisted mainly of earthy tones, since up there in the North, colour dyes, at the time, were not used in abundance.

I hope you like them.

Have a great Monday night everyone. More figures to follow next week (I'll be out of office, starting from tomorrow, one of my friends is getting hanged...(bugger), I meant marrying - and yes, I know, the bells are making a deafening sound towards my direction. I promise I'll respond to their call (next year, fingers crossed).

When SWMBO is away, this occurs.

Last week was my last holiday week (well, I'm going to get some few more days for a wedding - not mine..yet), so I had plenty of time to paint and amuse myself. SWMBO was working during this week....and the feeling was: ohhhh what a bliss!

I've painted plenty of figures as you will see below, from various historical periods - dark ages, musket era, vietnam war and modern times.

By following this pattern, I realized that my mojo did not diminish  by the end of the week, and that was because I didn't feel bored whilst painting. Using similar techniques, but, different colours and figures the difference was huge for me, and I think that I may stick to this alternative method, for what is worth.

So....

Kambodian Khmer Rouge soldiers (see the red scarf...) - Vietnam war (I used a set from Imex - Korean War/ # 531 Chinese's  People Liberation Army)

And now for something completely different...

US Infantry - Mogadishu / Somalia (Revell #02520 US Infantry) - a new (as if, I didn't have many already).

I hope that you didn't find them too many, and that they didn't distract you from my one theme/time per post.

Hope you all have a great Monday!

Italeri Set 6079 Vietnamese Army / Vietcong

Greetings to thee my fellow friends.

Quick and brief this post (as most of my posts are after all), but with enough photos for your eyes only.

Below you will see my North Vietnamese force ( Esci's ex set of figures), that will try to kick back the Yankees to their country.

I hope you like them.

Have a good Wednesday night everyone.

Italeri Set 6078 American Special Forces

Dark-skinned by the sun and full of new pics in my head after my holidays, I salute thee.

I have completed some new (well they come from an old Esci Kit) figures, for my Vietnam War project.
When I was a youngster I used to have one of these sets - and it was one of my favourites, but unfortunately after a few house changes through the years, I lost it somewhere in between.

Good Italeri re-issued it, and below you will see the fruits of my paintwork on these fellows.

I hope you like them.

Have a great Monday night everyone.
