My photo
Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

Airfix - #1314 AEC Matador with 5.5 inch Gun

Hi everyone!

I apologize for my yesterday's absence, but, due to work reasons I had to make a quick trip to a Greek island to visit a client, and I returned late at night - exhausted to say the least.

Below you will find the pictures of the finished Matadors and 5.5'' guns, for my artillery battery section I am preparing (and finishing at last).

I followed the same camo pattern (mickey mouse black round splotches) and British green, as I did with all my British trucks, in order to be as consistent as possible. Decals are from Dom's Decals (excellent products if you ask me) and driver figures from Hat's #8256 WWI British Artillery crew.

Hopefully, in the following days I'll take some photos of the whole lot, and by then, I will have managed to finish my first proper unit for my Wessex Wyverns.

The photos are not the best I could have taken, but, I didn't have much time to do it - the sun was going down. :-)

Enjoy:

Have a nice weekend!
T.

  1. The Arty and vehicles look just great, Mr.T. I can smell a battle brewing somewhere. When you get to the battlefield, give them what-for!!

  2. It is a good thing that you are so busy working Thanos and to be working hard-that's a better thing.

The light was indeed failing, but I can see well enough. The guns turned out just fine. Those last two photo's are really good. You've managed to make it look like they're coming straight at you and have fooled the eye into thinking those are as big as in real life.

    Have a nice weekend!

  10. That's a nice looking battery, especially the Matadors (the camo and weathering is spot on). Good choice to go for the Wessex as well (although I might be biased, as I grew up in the region!).
