My photo
Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

Stone House in Normandy - Finished!

Good day everyone!

Last night, I finished Italeri's Stone House ( #6140 ) alongside with the other components of the terrain piece that would accompany it.
I don't want to brag about my work, but I think that this is the one of the best terrain pieces I ever made (I still have a lot to learn though...)! :-) It's amazing what you can do, when you are a bit methodical and patient while working...two elements I lacked in the past...
It happened so, because I turn (and officially) 30 today, and I hope that Godess Fortuna will ''iuvat'' me, and make me a better person!

I hope you like it!

  1. Wonderful work! I especially like the stone wall, please tell us a bit about how you did that.
    And happy birthday!

And keep up the good work.

  3. Hi T, Happy birthday mate!! Excellent paint job on the stones how about a tutorial as Thomas suggested.

  4. Perfection! What a tremendous piece of work, I especially like the subtle colour changes in the stonework. A very Happy Birthday to you; so kind of you to give us such a lovely present!

  5. Just magic Thanos. This is art rather than a model mate.

    Freakingly well done

Merry Christmas and a happy Birthday.

  6. Like it much! Very nice Work, Mate!!

Merry Christmas and a happy Birthday!!!

  7. I must admit that is more stunning than your normal stunning work, Happy Birthday and nice to see what you look like......

  8. Χρόνια πολλά και μπράβο για το αποτέλεσμα!

Τί κλίμακα είναι το μοντέλο? Φαίνεται ενδιαφέρον κιτ...

  9. Firstly, happy birthday! Another great terrain piece and, have others have said, fantastic work on the stones. The sculpting and paintwork is really convincing.

How does the scale look with this kit? I've made the Italeri farmhouse and it was quite large but this one looks much better proportioned.

  10. Very well painted, Thanos...makes me scared about some of the house painting I've got to do during these holidays!
Have a great Christams & New Year!

  11. Thats extremely good. Well done and have a Merry Christmas.
