Good day and good week amici miei!
Busy weekend the last one, I only managed to paint four figures, some US Paratroopers from Italeri (ex. Esci #209) and (Anti Tank Teams # 6131).
A nice simple mortar base (based on the infamous pizza taps) with two figures and two other fellows throwing grenades - German artillerymen beware!
I hope you like 'em!

- Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

Awesome work Thanos. Four is much better than none, especially with that much detail.
ReplyDeleteWell done.
Thanks Paul! It's the dip that does all the work!
DeleteThese look excellent. I like your use of the .30 cal gunner as a loader for the mortar, great idea! What colours are you using for the para's uniforms? I can never seem to get the right shade, but this looks just right.
ReplyDeleteThank you Alan!
DeleteI'm using Vallejo's MC 70.879 Green brown. I think it gives them a nice colouring and makes them stand in the field (in a wargames table...not in reality) :-)
Awesome painting!!! I can't believe you mananaged to paint the screaming eagles patch!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leif!

DeleteI still regret not grabbing a box of the Anti-Tank teams when I saw them. Great use of that dodgy .30 cal man there.
