Good day guys!
Yesterday evening while painting some of my figures, I got a phone call from my older brother asking me to help his 13 y.o son for a school project, where he messed up and ruined his model (a small fountain - it was a good effort btw).
The thing was, that my nephew needed it for today Thursday, in order to present it to his class...and guess what..? I had to save the day! :-)
I thought of making one out of modelling clay, but I realized that it would take a lot of time and effort to make it, let aside the fact that I am far from being a good sculptor!! :-)
While time was ticking, I came up with the idea of using some of my Hirst Arts' molds, which I bought a couple of years ago for a castle I wanted to make (an everlasting summer dream...).
I wanted to make something basic, yet elegant and I decided to go ''octagon''! I poured some plaster in the molds, I based it on a piece of plastic (vinyl tile), painted blue the water surface, poured some silicon for the water effects, added two small pieces of fishing line and finito!! Two hours in total (including painting and waiting paints to dry)!
I didn't have any time left to paint my models, but family comes first!
I hope he likes it! Otherwise I'll kill this little twat! :-)
- Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!
