Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

Interest: √ - Implementation: Getting there...?

Good day everyone!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone (unfortunately not seperately, even though I want to) for the support I am receiving for my blog!
You know, it all started as a ''lost in the vast ocean ship'' thing, but it turned out to be a winning bet after all(at least for me). Soon, you made it very important for my life, and helped me realize than great things are in the quiet lane of the road. Thank you for that! :-)

Since 2011, is a reality now, I want this year to be an indicator of my new idea: Mold making!
The way I see it, my aspirations for my project (the infamous Normandy Project) are escalating with geometric progression! That's why I have to create many many things, and mold making is something I started having interest in, for the potential it offers.
Also, I begun receiving mails, with requests of making buildings for sale to customers! Crazy as it sounds, it seems that other people want to have my buildings on their tables!

The questions now are:
Should I give it a go?
Will it make my work easier?
Would people be interested in it?

Your interest in this blog up to now, is what it made it what it is today.
Your opinion is what can help me to decide what to do in this unfamiliar state of situation!!!
Please help!!!! :-)

  1. Go for it Thanos, you have talent and demand needs supply.

    My vote is in!

  2. Why not? Go for it, a mold doesn't cost the world to make, and if you sell ready build houses you could do POD first - Produce on Demand, you produce a building if an order comes in, that way you won't get stuck with unsold houses.

  3. Giving something a go doesn't mean you have to commit. I see it as Maurice. Besides, you certainly won't get rich doing it, if you go with comments made by miniature sculptors and company owners (Well, except maybe Games Workshop). If you want to do it and think you will get enjoyment from seeing your "babies" on tables around Europe or the World, go for it. It certainly sounds like a rewarding undertaking.

  5. Those writers before me have raised valid arguments in support - I feel that Al's is a very important one.
If you feel you have the time and can do it, try it. You could also go on to licence the molds to someone else in the future and let them produce your items in bulk while you come up with new designs or just decide you want a break.

  7. Thanks for the support guys!
I think I am going to give it a try! But not aiming primarily to sell what I will produce. The purpose for the mold making is to create things for my project in an easier way!
And if someone wants to purchase what I may end up offering, the good will be double!
It is my hobby, not my work! And I want to keep it this way!
@GEM: Don't worry mate! I don't want to become a competitor! This is a place where we share our common interest! I don't want to jeopardise that by making some euros! What I receive daily from this blog, makes me richier in the right way! :-)
