My photo
Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

How to make: Saxon Huts

Hi Chaps,

Hope you are all well.

These past few days, I've been working on some new projects, for a new game, that I think you already know, it is called Dux Britanniarum, which is a is a set of rules for wargaming and campaigning in the Age of Arthur.

Apart from painting figures, as you may have seen in my previous post, I have also taken the initiative to prepare some terrain pieces, such as the ones you'll see below.

Basically, I wanted to make some Saxon Huts. Generic huts. I took some balsa wood, pieces of vinyl tiles, an old towel (yes, towel - if you don't believe me, see this excellent article by Matakishi's site) and paints.

The building procedure is shown in the photo sequence below. Simple really, not many fiddly parts to make your life difficult.

Hope you like them.

Ramble on!

Emhar Set 7206 Saxon Warriors

Hi chaps!

Just a quick update in my blog.

Some figures, from Emhar's excellent set (Saxon Warriors), I recently painted.

The colour variation is not very extended, due to the reason I wanted quantity and not quantity. Hope you understand. :)

Hope you like them.

Caesar Set H048 The Sea Peoples (the first lot)

Hi Chaps,

As promised, I delivered. Below you will see some photos of my newly painted Sea Peoples from Caesar's set H048 (review).
As you will notice, I have painted them wearing skirts (?) painted white with red, blue and green linings.

A joy to paint, to be honest, not much details and fiddly parts for this scale. If you're interested for something different, instead of watching Monty Python news report from the Ministry of Silly Walking for a hundreth time, paint some of these fellow instead.

Off we go:

Hope you like them.

Another 20 or more to follow.

Have a nice Tuesday night everyone.

Prepping Sea Peoples from Caesar's Set H048

Hi Chaps,

I wanted to explore some new (which in fact are very old) aspects of history. Well, that was partly the reason, because I felt the need to get my hands on Caesar's set of Sea Peoples which looked terrific.

I then persuaded my wallet to give in, and buy me the set, and after that, it was a matter of time before starting their preparation.

The photos below show only the prepping stages of these nicely sculpted figures, so this is only a W.I.P post.

At the time being, I'm painting a lot of 25 figures on one go (which is a completely new approach I decided to follow, since I'm a lazy git and can't be bothered into painting many figures on one go).

So, stay tuned.

Have a nice Tuesday all!
