Hi everyone!
With many tasks at hand at the same time, and whilst deciding what to do next, I finished painting a family, a British family to be exact.
Some weeks ago if you remember, I placed some orders through the net. I have purchased one full platoon of Churchill MKVIItanks (3+1 models - they were on sale, on the date of the purchase), another full platoon of Staghounds (3+1 models - they were on sale also, on the date of the purchase) and 2 kits (3 models per kit) of Universal Carriers from PSC. That's a lot of models - and they should keep me busy for quite a while.
In this post, I will show you the members of my new family. I decided to paint one model from each, to save my time and my appettite (it's very easy for me to get bored, when painting the same thing on and on - I bet it happens to you all the time).
Below you will see one Churchill MKVII tank (Blitzkrieg Miniatures)- let's all call him ''Dad'', one Staghound Armored Vehicle (Blitzkrieg Miniatures) - let's call her ''Mom'' and finally, one Universal Carrier (PSC) - the ''Child''.
The two models from Blitzkrieg were made from resin, and no additional boxes and stowage were placed on them. I only trimmed the excess parts, primed them and painted them. Good models - they save you a lot of time.
The other model (Universal Carrier) from PSC, comes in hard plastic and it is full of details and additional goodies - jerry cans, lights, tarpaulins etc. I decided to add (apart from the drivers that come with the kit) two figures, one from Caesar British Army kit (the officer) and one figure from PSC British Infantry kit (the radio man/officer). I thought to use it as a HQ Vehicle. I added one radio next to the radio man (a piece of rectangular plastic) with an antenna - a thread from a broom, painted black. I am a cheap bastard, I know. :-)
The family presented (in the dusty streets of Normandy):
Churchill MKVII
Staghound
Universal Carrier
Τhe whole family
I hope you like them.
Have a great Friday night everyone!
T.
Very nice work
ReplyDeleteA very sweet family, Mr.T.
ReplyDeleteExcellent work! I love the armoured car model.
ReplyDeletePerfect work, love them all but the child is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking family shots Thanos.
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous Thanos. But you know, I wouldn't invite this family over for dinner!
ReplyDeleteWonderful work on those T, great colours & weathering- I especially like the crew that you've put in the Universal Carrier.
ReplyDeleteDamn attractive family Thanos!
ReplyDeleteAnd a very nice looking family they are too!
ReplyDeleteLovely models Thanos, I love Churchills, I remember playing with one of my dads old models at my grandparents, I was about 6-7, it was a old airfix Churchill, with no tracks, probably all beat to hell, but I loved that model, Churchills always bring back good memories.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, I always have a soft for the Bren Carrier.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful additions to the family and beautifully painted Thanos!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely fantastic work T!
ReplyDelete(P.S. I'd love to see your whole British army so far together in one photo in your next post.)
Cheers!
