My photo
Being a modeller for quite a few years now, I decided to explore the endless possibilities that the world (through internet) offers, and come up with a series of ways of building, modelling and painting fast (but not hastily), to create the worlds I was seeing in history books since I was little. . .If you care to join me. . . This is the place to be! And, I promise you to find the way (or ways)!!

Revell Set 02523 British Infantry etc...

Hi everyone.

Thursday is coming to its end, and I am sitting in front of my screen thinking of what I should write. Blimey, nothing comes in my mind.

I can only show you some figures I painted these past few days, from Revell's (2523) British Infantry kit.
Five riflemen (all the same, as they come out of the sprue), wearing the ''standard 'Battledress, Serge' and the Pattern 37 web equipment and below wear the leather jerkin'' (quote from Plastic soldier review).

They were painted really easily, and I think they will blend well together the other Tommies I painted so far (they are not that tall, compared to the others that has the Revell kit).

Hope you like them.

And as a teaser, this is the ''in progress post''. ;-)

Have a good Thursday night everyone! :-)
T.

They are becoming many...I have a storage problem. But, you'll have to wait till you see the full force deployed. A lot things to make yet. :-)

  3. Superb mate. Was it a common thing for the shovel to be in that location. I've just never spotted anything like that before.

    1. It seems that it was. Things can get a bit messy when you are in field I think. From my experience in my military service, I remember being a part of a motley crew when we were doing exercises... :)

    2. When I was doing my military service I remember being a part of a motley crew, while doing military exercises. So I reckon that improvisation was a common thing, especially when bullets came swirling all around... :)

    3. Yes it was - in marching order. Each section got one shovel and one large pickax while each man carried two empty sandbags in his small pack. When you got to where you were going to dig in for the night, the packs and shovels were left behind. They were not carried on patrol or into combat!

  7. Beautiful figure painting, puts my efforts on these figs to shame! That pose was my favourite of the box. These guys were (in my opinion) made to accompany the Esci/Italeri box.

    Keep up the hard work!

Which company made the metal figure at the end of the side? They look promising...

    Cheers

    1. Thank you Greg.
I used Vallejo's German Camo Beige. It is a bit lighter from Khaki.
