Bren Light Machine Guns

Hi everyone,

In this post I’ve uploaded some photos of my newly painted British figures. They are destined to be the Bren Light machine guns support teams for my 43rd Wessex ‘Wyverns’ Division. The figures are a mix of Revell British Infantry (#2523), PSC (WW2020002) and HAT(#8227 –Mortar teams). I know I made 4 teams of the same thing, but you never know how many you will need in the end! :-)

I really like the following photo. It's perhaps one of the best I've ever taken for my little men. :-)

If you want to see more photos of the terrain pieces that stand in the back of the figures, you could see this post.

I hope you like them!

Any C&C are more than welcome.
T.

  5. Another impressive work from you Thanos. And you're right, that pic from the men's perspective is one of your best. I do think that there's a film maker hiding inside you somewhere!

  6. Really good work, Thanos. You did a fine job with the divisional and regimental shoulderflashes (always a nice way to add colour to Brit/Com uniforms) and it's good and accurate to see a Bren gun team rather than a single guy plonking away. Some good photgraphy there.
    Bravo zulu, that man!

  8. Wonderful, the bren is a great gun. In fact New Zealand made their own version, the Charlton Automatic Rifle, with the magazine underneath... it was a great gun and 1500 were made! but, nearly all were destroyed when the factory in Palmeston North burnt down. Only in New Zealand

    1. Thanks Gowan. We used to have these beauties in the Greek army as well during 40s and 50s. :)

    1. Thank you Paul. It's a good set (Revell's), but the guys are quite big in comparison with other little men..

  13. You can never have too many Bren guns! I like how you've used the HaT 2" mortar guy as an extra loader.

Great photography, I agree about the black and white image, the prone poses really look like they're keeping their heads down!

    1. Thanks Dan. It's the first idea that came into my mind, that's why I used them. I am experimenting with them a bit. See how it goes. Another approach is always an option. :)
