Good day everyone!
Last night I finished painting some additional figures I purchased from AB Figures some time ago.
These were the (BLA12) Platoon Officers, who I intend to use for my Tommies who fight in the hedgerows.
As usual, I painted them with the distinct(?) yellow wyvern of 43rd Wessex Division, inspired by Jacksarge's excellent blog.
If you want to see more photos of the terrain pieces who stand in the back of the figures, you could see this post and this post as well.
I hope you like them!
T.
Those are excellent figures and a great paintjob, Thanos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mojo. You can't go wrong with AB figures. :)
DeleteBeautiful figures, beautifully painted!
ReplyDeleteThey look great against your terrain items too.
Do you plan for any armoured support for your Wyverns? They most frequently operated with the Sherman IIIs of the 8th Armoured Brigade.
Keep up the great work mate. :)

Thanks John. Could you please help me a bit, and tell me which models should I use for them?
DeleteA good start for the Sherman IIIs would be the Italeri fast-build kit which has two in a box. Only downside is that they come with sandguards, but with clever conversion they could be cut off. I am really hoping that Plastic Soldier Company releases some. You would also need Sherman Firefly.
DeleteAbsolutely brilliant, amazing detail Thanos!
ReplyDeleteIt's the figures Michael, not my painting. :)
DeleteVery nicely done. Love your scenery as well very atmospheric photo's
ReplyDeleteThank you Brummmie. Consistency is what I want to achieve. :)
DeleteGreat work T, I agree with Brummie. Hope you have not decided to move exclusively to metal now!!
ReplyDeleteI will never abandon my plastic men. My bank account endorses my choice as well.
DeleteI am glad you like them Greg. Thank you. :)
Lovely work Thanos, they have come up a treat. I actually have some of these on the table to paint up as well.
ReplyDeleteTen out of ten.
Thank you Paul. I will be waiting to see yours as well. I am sure they're going to be great as all of your previous paintjobs. :)
DeleteThey're fantastic, great work Thanos!
ReplyDeleteThank you Fran! :)
DeleteI like the guy with the book :-)
ReplyDeleteReally nice work, Sir!
He lost his way. The Jerries weren't going to wait for him inside the house, but in the nearby hedgerows. :) Thanks!
DeleteI do like them Thanos and they look great photographed in those settings.
ReplyDeleteIt's the photo machine that does all the work Anne. :) Thank you.
Deletevery nice, they look very lively and active. great work and it will be good to see them in action.
ReplyDeleteIt's getting there Gowan, it's getting... Thank you.
