Machine gun nest

Hi everyone,

The machine gun nest is ready for action, and for you to see.

A small terrain piece that may give some character to the battlefield and troubles to those around it... :-)

I hope you like it!

W.I.P. - Machine gun nest

Hi everyone,

Just a quickie post tonight, showing a wannabe machine gun nest. It seems very generic, but it will serve its purpose once it's finished - just wait.

Have a good night everyone!

British 2-Inch Mortar

Good afternoon everyone!

Hope you are all well.
This last weekend, I painted some British soldiers, including a 2-Inch mortar team, by using two spare figures I had from different sets.

The first figure comes from Italeri (Set 6131 - Anti Tank Teams). It is a British Paratrooper preparing his mortar to fire. I chopped off his helmet, and added a Mk III helmet I had available (spare parts).

The second figure was from Hat (Set 8227 - British Mortars). Although this Tommy is holding a 2 Inch mortar as well, I chopped his off, and I placed him next to the converted mortar firer as a loader.

I painted them, glued them on my famous pizza stands, and I added the necessary greenery around them.

I hope you like them!

Have a good Wednesday night everyone.

Last days work

Greetings everyone,

Hope you are all well.
Not many nice pictures in this post, simply some W.I.P shots, of British Tommies. These past few days have been....wicked!

Hope you all have a great Wednesday evening!

Somewhere in Normandy...first stop: Thanosville

Greetings everyone!

Hope you are all well.
If you have seen some of my previous posts, I've waiting for two folding tables to arrive just to be able to play one day with my toys.

And yes, the day has come! I got them!
Since joy that isn't shared is like a broken pencil (pointless - I borrowed this quote from Black Adder), I have deployed nearly all of my toys on the tables for you to see them. There were some left out cause they couldn't fit in - meaning that I have still plenty to show you in my next posts, but I don't care now, I have tables to play on! :-)

This is my small Normandy town, I'll call it Thanosville. I know that I am a self bragging sod, but you could spare me this time, wouldn't you? :-)

On with the photos:

Most of the models (apart from the church and some houses) are scratch built. I hope you like them!
Have a great weekend everyone! :-)
